Ronald Haskin

Mr. Ronald Richard Haskin, 72, of Hawaiian Paradise Park, Keaau, HI, died at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo on Saturday, September 10, 2016. He was born in Royal Oak, Michigan and was a retired IBEW union electrician. He was also a US Navy Veteran of 6 years, serving on the USS Yarnell, the USS Adams and the USS Tattnall. Private family memorial services will be held. He is survived by his: Wife, Kareen Wakeland Haskin of Keaau, HI; Brother, Don (Janice) Haskin of Harrison, MI; Sister, Gail Braman of Battle Creek, MI; Step-sons, James (Donna) Davis of Wolf Creek, OR and Todd Goebel of Hilo, HI; Step-daughters, Timari (Craig) Cox of Grants Pass, OR and Tifini (Eric) Vega of San Jose, CA; Brother-in-law, Mark (Pearl) Wakeland of Hilo, HI; Sister-in-law, Riki Wakeland of Solano Beach, CA; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

Dear Ron we spent 4 yrs setting next to one another starting out because of the spelling of our last names and then just because. We always had so much fun in our classes and told more than once to turn around and stopping talking. I always held out hope that we would run into each other one last time. But I guess time ran out. I send my symphaty to your family. Hope you had a good life
