Betty F. Elliott, a telecommunications executive and a mentor to Chicago businesswomen, died Saturday, Nov. 23, after a yearlong struggle with cancer. She was 57.

Mrs. Elliott of Winnetka was vice president and comptroller of Ameritech from 1991 to 1996 and served on the boards of LaSalle Bank, the Metropolitan Planning Council and Catholic Charities.
