Bruce Stuart Beal Apr. 25, 1944 - Jan. 2, 2011 Resident of Castro Valley,CA. Bruce lost his very brave battle with cancer, on Jan. 2, 2011, with his wife by his side. Facing his illness with determination, courage and humor, he was an inspiration to those who loved and knew him, and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce, adored daughter, Lisa, her husband, Andy Stemmler, and dear grandsons, Ryan William (2 years) and Brandon Beal (6 weeks). He is also survived by his brother, Dr. Terry Beal, sister, Wendy Platt, and their families. Born April 25, 1944 to Dr. and Mrs. David Beal, in Detroit. Bruce worked for many years in the Bay Area Insurance Industry and was a proud alumni of Michigan State University. A Celebration of Life will be held later this month. Donations to the American Cancer Society or Guide Dogs for the Blind are requested.
